Jesse is a respected and accomplished leader with demonstrated success creating and executing business plans within privately held companies and multinational organizations. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in the construction and energy industries, including performing roles of Chief Operations and Senior Business Leader.

Jesse enjoyed a successful career holding a variety of business development and management positions. Coupled with extensive upstream energy operations and maintenance knowledge with companies like Suncor, Syncrude, CNRL, Cenovus, KBR, Fluor & Bantrel, Jesse also brings critical construction, engineering and project management experience focused on the world’s leading up-stream & mid-stream energy and engineering companies

Jesse has a reputation for strategic thinking and creative vision, with an ability to support both through sound execution and team buy-in. He has a proven track record for business building and market share growth and his strengths include complex problem solving, negotiation and team building

Since 2010, Jesse has performed the roles of Board Member and Board Advisor to multiple early-stage companies and industry committees. He is currently studying towards a Masters of Arts, Justice Studies, from Royal Roads University.

As CFO for Connect Group Inc, Travis provides financial oversight, leadership and strategic expertise for Connect Group and related companies and plays a key role in helping position the organization for long-term sustainable growth and success. Travis has executive oversight for all financial and fiscal management aspects of CGI’s operations including finance, internal controls, business intelligence, and centralized services.

Prior to joining Connect Group Inc., Travis spent 9 years working as an accounting consultant for multiple clients in the energy and construction sector. Before joining the public sector in 2007, he began his career working in public practice, focusing on large municipal audits and small and medium company tax work. After leaving public practice, he joined a large but growing construction company where he oversaw the accounting and finance department. Travis left to help from an accounting and consulting company focusing on construction and oil and gas. Travis left consulting and joined Connect Group Inc.’s Executive Team in 2021.

Travis is an active member of the sports community, volunteering as a coach and board member.

Mike is an experienced and dedicated professional. He manages projects of all sizes and has the depth of technical knowledge that allows him to evaluate, select, and engineer systems with a focus on meeting clients’ needs and goals. Mike provides sound solutions to projects while balancing cost, complexity, and constructability; enabling the team to deliver a project on schedule and budget.

Mike has a tendency to seek innovative solutions in the design and management of various construction projects leading to substantial reductions in construction costs and project duration. His understanding of design and construction processes have helped him in brokering prosperous relationships between clients, contractors, and suppliers. His exposure to various projects provides him with a keen appreciation of the specific needs for each project type.

Mike graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors (2008) and Masters in Structural Engineering (2013). He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada (Alberta/ NWT/Nunavut) and in the US (Michigan).

Mike joined Connect Group in early 2018 as the Engineering Manager and is listed as the company’s responsible member on engineering Permits to Practice. Mike’s technical leadership is an integral role to CGI’s team and, in 2021, joined the Executive Team.

Mike Q is an integral member of our Technical Services team. Mike is Connect Group’s Quality Manager and brings with him experience that includes 27 years of industrial experience, the majority of which has been in a Quality Lead/Manager position. Mike’s positions have covered a range of scopes including: sawmill fabrication & construction, bridge fabrication & construction, structural/piping fabrication & construction, oil & gas construction to ASME B31.3 / B31.1 (NBEP & BEP) / CSA Z662 & upstream oil sand extraction.

Mike has an eye for detail, especially in project controls and has experience in working with and managing scheduling, developing Installation Work Plans (IWP’s) and reviewing Construction Work Packages/IFC drawings to customize installation execution. As CGI’s Quality Manager, Mike is also a CWB/AWS Level 2 Welding Inspector, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Leader in Safety Excellence, and has a strong Quality Management background in Piping, Structural, Civil (earthworks/concrete/grouting), Mechanical (turbines and COGEN units, pipe strain, pump & equipment alignment), ASME / API and Electrical.

Mike joined Connect Group in 2019 as the Quality Manager and has been integral in the revamp and implementation on our Quality Management System. Mike’s technical and personal leadership is a key component of CGI’s team.
